Hi all,
Firstly hi new on this forum!! Contemplating getting a 1/10th buggy. At the moment race a 1/10th on-road Kyosho Stallion. But looking at moving to the off-road scene. Been looking at the LRP S10 Blast BX RTR as starting block. Then when I can afford it upgrading the motor etc. Any thoughts as a starting block what this is like? Oli |

It depends weather you want to do 2wd or 4wd.
If you go with 2wd i'd go for a team assicated B4 or xfactory x6, these are very popular cars meaning people will be able to give you better advise on setups ect. There is also a more chance of getting spares trackside for these cars. If you want 4wd there is a team associated b44, Bmax and Schumacher cat sx. The B44 and cat are very popular cars so like the b4 there people can give you advise and setups and there is also a lot of people carrying spares at the track. Hope this helps.

Good point!
But suffering with budget at the moment! The car comes rtr but gives the choice to upgrade latter! Spec seems good as a standard. Oli |

All rtr cars give the chance to be upgraded later. The LRP looks a good car however as i mentioned before there wonnt be many spares available or help with sett ups. If you are looking for a rtr i would reccomend you go for the new associated b4.1 rtr.

I've heard the blast is decent value for money and very similar to the Lazer ZX-5, however the main problem is getting the parts, hardly anywhere really stocks spares yet, and when it comes to getting advice from people you race with, I doubt many(if any) will be using the LRP Blast. If you break a part while racing, no one at the track is likely to have a spare part to lend you.
Something to think about though. I spent about £175 on the Lazer ZX-5 RTR, I've since upgraded it to the Lazer ZX-5 SP, replacing a lot of cheap parts with decent ones, this must have cost me an additional £250, a total of £425. When I look now, a Lazer ZX-5 FS would of cost £299 and requires no upgrading! The b4 recommended about would certainly be a good bet |

Why not consider the brushless Thunder Tiger Phoenix XB? It is in essence an Ass B3 Stealth.
http://www.tiger.com.tw/product/6572-F.html Here in Sweden, it retails for less than 225 £, which is quite a lot of car for that price. Otherwise, get a used Ass B4FT, they are not that expensive. By the way, is the X-6 really that common in the UK?

I have the new LRP Blast... have not ran her a huge amount but the spec and build of the car is very good. Bit noise but I'm still running it in. Has a nice turn of speed and the handling is excellent.
The big bore shocks are excellent. Can't wait for to what hop-ups we'll get ![]() Fusion Hobbies has all the LRP Blast standard spares listed including the clear lexan shell. J. |

I've heard lots of good things about the Blast. I thin the only kind of bad things I've heard is that you have to clean some of the plastics up to get some things to be smooth, and the availability of parts, but it sounds like the parts issue will soon get sorted as more people buy the car.
