Default GM Genius 90 Firmware question

I bought a second hand GM Genius 90

its running firmware 4.8

I've downloaded the Software program from Schumacher so I can change the settings through the PC

I get the next couple of errors come up when receiving the data form the ESC:

Warning: Incorrect number of data readed. If you send these data to the controller it is possible that the controller not works.

Warning: The Genius tool GII is only for controller with a minimum version of 7.2

I guess the problems i`ve got is because it has got an older firmware version.

Can you upgrade the software ?

I`ve gone on http://www.gm-racing.de/index2.htm but I don`t do German.

Any help is appreciated.

I can change the setting by transmitter but i`m not getting any beep to let me know which mode is has gone on to ?????

Hi,

The firmware can be upgraded, but only at the factory, you will need to send it back to germany, cost is about 10 euro.

the beeps can be turned off using one of the settings in the software, if yours has been turned off you can do a factory re-set.

i have a gm120 but with the 7.2 software, so setup is a bit different.

the 1.3.6 genius tool can be set up for 7.2 or the older 4.x software by using the version tab.

there is a very good GM thread on the rctech forum.

Don't hesitate to post questions on the GM forum in English. Ralf Helbing will answer in English and is usually pretty quick to answer as well.

This software should work with the older firmware --> http://www.gm-racing.de/rwdownload/index.php?dl=123
