It says "light showers" which to me doesn't sound like the end of the world

Josh, get your arse there. It's only a bit of rain, i'm the biggest poof going when it comes to getting my car dirty but I still did it.

If the weather's nice i'm going to come and watch, what time do you reckon the finals will be starting?

One of the most fun days racing I've ever had was at Batley's regional last year. Check out Stu's pics: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/northernr...rain/index.htm
here's my slightly damp baby...

Oh well, I "got my arse there". And Im glad I did Id have to say
Driving down its started to rain a bit on the car and when we got to the track it was damp but not too wet, I think everyone went out on yellow minispikes and they seemed to work fine on the track at the time. For the first 3 rounds the track got drier as the sun started to poke through the clouds for a bit and it actually got warm. Inbetween round 3 and 4 it started to drizzle a bit then dried for 20 minutes before it started raining slightly heavier, leaving the lads in the later heats going out on wet tyres or skidding everywhere.
Was in the E final all day till the final round where although it was dry for me, my batteries disconnected 3 times so went down to the F final. At the start line I decided to gun it and my car span about alot and I got off in last place finishing 6th. Good day overall.

Yep, weather turned out well, except for the fourth round. A good day overall, although 7:30 was probably a bit earlier than it needed to be.

Bloody rain... it made my hair go all frizzy and fluffy on top!

... it also wrecked my round 4 - SOB.

Quite enjoyed my day today - C2 so 22nd out of 70... chuffed with that. Enjoyed my final too... qualified 9th, finished 2nd!

Track turned a bit moon-like for my liking but fun all the same. And trying to get up that table top in the rain was wicked - I thought I was going to need a tow!!

Yeah, good day in all. I didn't brake the 'Our B5'.....not like yesterday .

Made the 'c' too! Quali'd 5th and finished........last . my own fault for not checking the voltage in the tranny.

Got your messages, which car did you use? Where was Jim? Me and Stu went to Southport today, sounds like we got the same changeable weather. Stu ran the x6 and we were pretty equally matched!

I used a special car Jim was BQ, but should have made the A, he walked the fianl. Weather was good apart from round 4. Both mine and Jim's cars were good, times were split by nothing really. Even Andy went well, and stayed for the final!

Ah! the special car, must be working well. Has Andy recovered from the shock of a full days racing and a final. I thought he melted in the rain!

Special car works very well, 4th in round 1, 5th in round 2
Andy did about 2 mins in round 4 until it started raining again in his heat, so he pulled his car off and came back to the tent.
