Default Unofficial Durango Indoor off road series

Today may have well been the indoor Durango series at Stannington!

Just a note to say how well all of the Durangos went today and none at all broke in any way apart from my spur melting(due to something getting stuck inside the shell!)

Running on yellow minispikes on a surface likened to clay was excellent aswell.

Stannington might be a touch North for some people but the next time its on its well worth the visit. Quality racing

Hi Hyper, the surface is a 'hybrid mixture' of silicone and rubber with bits of chomped up car tyre. Its specially designed to not harm horses joints when training and this actual flooring was used at the horse of the year event in 2004 then it got moved to where it is now. Its not dissimilar to sandy dirt and you get a blue groove type line forming pretty quikly with a sandy like line off the race line. Soft enough to get rooster tails when you get it wrong : )

It is a great surface to race on. If you get a line wrong it takes about 3 corners to get it back again. Really hope some more people try it out next time its on.

Anybody fancy it??

Cool. Is it workable, like dirt/clay, or, is it a "painted on" type surface?
It would be great to see a video of racing on this track, as well as a closeup of the surface.
