The IR-technology is knowned to be sensitive to sunlight.. Why not go with RFID instead, i guess You would be able to build a more reliable system, at more or less the same cost as IR..or is that coming in version 2??![]() Never the less.. It´s great to see cost efficient systems for smaller clubs |

Is it possible to use this device linked to another type of software, as for instance LapsFree, the freeware lapcounting-soft from RCTiming.com (http://www.rctiming.com/)?
If not, I think it would be a good idea to make such a feature. Although, not as amnivalent as AMB-software or other software, this software package is used by quite some clubs and is very decent. Big chance that LapsFree would provide more possibilities then the basic software that will be provided with the device as the package is now. also ... as we are talking about an IR-beam, ... the transponders have to have "sight" on the beamdevice.. so will have to be positioned near a window or opening in the car-body ... which is not an idea that seems "the most handy" to me. Aren't there allready this kind of devices, working on IR? I know a touringclub in my neighbourhood does.
