Use the XX I started back with mine last year, seemed to run OK for my ability.

a milder motor might be better suited and when you are able, a cheapish Lipo pack should see you good service - JEspare.com are advertising 3600mah Lipo at £40 on this site. Note you'll need a Lipo specific charger for this but there are several threads on this site discussing inexpensive chargers.

If you decide to remove the hydradrive, keep hold of it and any spares/oils you have for it as there seems to be a growing resurgence in this technology.

Just my opinion!

Craig, run the Losi (if you have as many spares for it as you say) ditch the other car to help fund a milder motor and just run it. Hydra will be a waste of time indoors on our carpet track, you will be better off just with the standard slipper and somthing like an 8.5 or 10. 5 to power it along....

I've been running a XXCR Kinwald with a LRP X11 7.5 and Trakpower 3600 LIPOs last year. Very good and I would recommend it any day over the Madrat. I'll be trying a hydra drive this year, but for indoors I'd go to the normal slipper.

I won't be running mine as much this year due to ordering a Cougar. I'll be at EPR on 7/3 with a friend and I think he'll be running his XXCR

Any pics?
