Lazer ZXR

seven slot chassi and long motorplate and an littleplate LA18 i think the number is that you actually screw the motor on to MKII dont have that plate.

MKII

six slot chassi batterys moved rearward and battery hold downs are angled
Short motorplate since the baa
ttery where moved to the rear the motor plate was shortened and there is very little place to adjust the motor also the motor plate is made in one piece not two pieces as in the zxr.

HKP is the current owner trying to sell it. Its kick up plate is an original just with the blue colour taken away. Its 88 percent new (including those incredibly rare ZX arms which I may add are the best wishbones out there) and in prestine condition. Worth the money he is after considering he spent a lot more on getting it to that condition than he is selling it for.

Iso - Any idea when the gear covers will appear?

I agree and will buy one myself as ive also had fibrelyte make a carbon fibre rear shock tower mount which i still have to drill through but with both items on it will be a totally CF gearbox and will look superb.

As long as the bits you cut away were not parts that are needed like the gear box covers Front and gear cover.

Im actually having nightmares about what you cut off the gearcovers as i need an exact original thats undamaged or cut to use as a master for kamtec.

Still great news you will finally have a working zxs but would strongly advise on using a stainless steel silver hex screws for the gearbox top section (in picture with two holes going through to rear pivot block holder) as they bend on impact and cant get off unless you have a big hex head on the screw.

Also would advise locking up the slipper if using a 5.5 motor but be warned if you dont the pad will melt. Mines locked and weight further forwards the front to stop wheelys.

I want to build a racer with my spare lazer parts, there are a couple of parts that I'm missing to finish it.

front gear box,
suspention arm carriers(preferably aluminium ones)
diffs

I know I told welshy that it would be a better Idea to race a newer car like the cat, but after building one, I apreciate the simple design of the lazer a whole lot more.
