The D4 shell looks pretty good, where is good to get one as the car isnt as popular as it once was.

Do SMD bring them the JC shells in for the D4?

I have 2 x 511 shells coming from HK but want to run the car so maybe a D4 one will do for now!

I'll have to give Jamie or Joe a buzz to see if they have any in stock?

I`d say the 511 looks like it has the most room, but i haven`t tried it yet still awaiting delivery hopefully this week... so i`ll post back on fitment and space.

thanks Andy, that would be great

The other thing im thinking is the chassis on the 501 doesnt kick out like the 501 undertray does, so in theory the b44 undertray could bolt underneath and then the body should just work fine, maybe with a few mods up the front of it

Andy - If you remember we tried looking at whether D4 shells and undertrays fit Durgas and vice versa, and decided that if the chassis didn't have the flaring they would. Since the 511 doesn't have that flaring (but the shell does) a D4 shell should fit.
In fact the whole reason we looked into it was that the Team Azarashi shells for the 501/511 also claim to fit the D4, BJ4 and B44.

Exclamation 511 bodyshell fitted on a 501

Bodyshell arrived today,it fits really well on a 501

Some pictures below for reference (sorry for the glare it was sunny)

It depends on how you trim the depth of the shell, but theres ton`s of room!

Its basically a Baldre bodyshell without the motor bulge.

Andy you're an utter star. I've been wondering about this for months!

I guess I best order myself a 511 shell!

Julius.

Im the complete opposite, I love the look of the 501x shell but I think the 511 shell looks like a blob!

Yeah thats my car! I've not seen the 511 shell in the flesh but I dont really like the look of it compared to most other shells, it's a bit to shapeless for me.
