does anybody have any feedback on Futaba 2.4ghz 3GR stick Transmtter
combo? or my other option would be to buy a Spektrum module for my Hitec Eclipse, but this system is 5years old! So do I buy the Futaba & sell the Hitec or buy the Spektrum module & Receiver??? I'm looking to spend around £200! |

re: 3GR I've used it for a while now and it's great, got 99% of everything on the 3VC and all you'll ever need

I have owned a 3gr for the past 18 months, using it most weekends, i have no gripes.
the one downside is the cost of the rrp on receivers..£100+ but then if you are only running the one vehicle then not really a problem, i picked up a 2nd receiver from the states, when the exchange rate was v.good (those were the days) aparantly the receivers can shut down in very hot weather but i havent experienced that fault. just to throw something in to the mix cml are supposed to be distributing a quality 2.4 stick set any time now, that may be worth a look. |

I've had one for over a year, and it's been fantastic.
Had to do a bit of modding to fit a LiPo pack in there, but it's in and haven't charged it up for 6 months now. As said, has all the features you'll ever need in off road |

I had one and it performed faultlessly - I didn't like the menu system however and I didn't like the feel/travel of the sticks and the battery compartment sticks out the back underneath your 3rd and little fingers so made it uncomfortable to hold for a long final.
BUT it was very reliable - I just didn't like it - for the money (I think I paid £170 new) it was ok value. The early ones were seemingly beset with overheating problems in the RX - I had one of the later versions and never had this issue. |
