Probably had the hex on after the roll-pin. Obviously not the right way round, but a common mistake made on the XX4/XXX4 front CVD's.

Doing it this way also make the car a tad wider...

Losi part Number A9933 CVD rebuild kit for the pin and A9967 for the hex but it also includes cvd set at about £30 ish
hope this helps.

Get Associated hex - it will allow you to use also AE or Jconcepts wheels.
I've used them for a year - works well.

Nothing wrong with Losi Hex's if you put them on right and use good pins

Just lost the actual hex... You cant buy them on their own?

It was put on the wrong way, pin then hex, but thats just how it came and the cvds' arent in the manual so i left it as it was...

Tried b44 ones, if i tighten the wheel up properly then it rubs on the hub carrier? Slacken it off a touch, it doesnt rub bur its too loose? Any ideas??

Have you got a spacer between the front bearings, if not this would cause the binding issue.

B44 ones are thicker than Losi ones. If you've had it that that when tightened it rubbed on the hub you must have the B44 and losi ones mixed up.

+1 for B44 hexes, ash you're right there is nothing wrong with the hexes but the wheels round off too easily, I find I have less issues with losi wheels though with B44 hexes for some reason.

Just picking up this thread, I've had all of the above, a wheel come off, and slight binding on one wheel (with spacers and everything correct pin-wise) and hexes rounding wheels. Is it true then that you can just buy B44 hexes as a direct replacement and still use Losi Wheels and pins?

Chris

Yes, your car will be a few mm wider with the B44 hexes and Losi wheels as the B44 have a marginal different offset to take back to same as Losi hex/wheel would be however it still easily fits inside the BRCA box and I can't really notice the difference running back to back with B44 then Losi wheels.

So to stop the binding with B44 hexes i just need to pop an axle spacer between the two bearings??
