As above by Andy. I assume this means racing on sunday 15th will not go ahead unless repairs are finished?

I think that is a little too much to ask. Repairs will not have even started considering its the national this weekend and people work all week. I can only assume at the moment that the following weekend will be a working party weekend for anyone who would like to race at Bury in coming weeks.

Looks like we will be useing that old stuff then Stu. I will be able to come and help the weekend after the national on the Sunday. We could put Chris's loop the loop at the end of the straight now. .
Was it the local chvs that did it or was G there till 7 on sunday trying out a new jet powered car.

How much works involved in replacing that bit of track?, my thoughts being..... are there enough people not going to the national who could do it early Sunday morning?....what is it, 2 meters by 1.5 meters?

Just a thought, would 5 or 6 people and a couple of hrs be enough time?

Does it need replacing for a club meeting?

I'd like to race somewhere this weekend as I'm not at Tivvy.

Was thinking of that too, but if the front straight is burnt and the back straight is "changing", that only leaves the fiddly bits in the middle and my car doesnt go great unless it's in a straight line!!

Hi guys. If you want to go down on Sunday and do a bit its up to you. I am not there due to me being at Tivy. If you want though I can get Dad to come down and supervise? If so, good luck with him. Let me know and I will get it sorted.

I think its a good idea sooner its done the better really, Plus we can squeeze a few heats in on sunday as well.

There is the option of missing that part of the track out.

Or the super wooden jump to clear the burnt patch

How much track is burnt woody?, I know how heavy that astro turf is now, especially with sand in it!!!

Failing that, we have just about everything thats left on this picture apart from the top right hand bit (back straight)

The bit that is melted is after the jump in the straight just where you land and up to the bricks on the hairpin.

Woody, can the melted Astro be raced over once swept? then when we all get back from the National - all of us can muck in.

Woody / Rog

Have we lost the electricity supply as a result of the fire? If so, running a meeting is gonna prove a bit tricky.

If we still have electric & water I'm quite happy to bring my jet-wash down on Sunday morning to try and blast the track clean if that will help.

I'm willing to come and help on Sunday, but as I've said before I'm a worker ant so I'll leave to organising to Roger.

Just (12:30 Wed) been down to the track and it seems unlikely that we will have electrickery for Sunday. So it will be the borrowed generator.
there's no water either so no brews.
There's a fence to stop us getting into the ashes but don't lose much of the track.

Does the track need a few hours work before racing on Sunday Roger, or is it useable in it's present state?

I may nip over after work tonight to have a mooch and see what needs doing.
