Good as the gearbox front is a work of art. He took the information from Radiocntrolzone that I did and made it without the brass bushing holders and strengthened the top section as well. The layshaft gears seem just as good as the original and the first one is in my car and handle my X12 5.5 with ease and I have not broken one yet. Diffs though will be the best bit to come as I have given him my prototype pulley and is with more ball holes that are smaller and makes the diff super smooth, how it should be, unlike the standard Kyosho ones where they have a gritty feel. Cant wait for them to arrive to test. The blue steering chassis bits are well done as well and no issues there either. Im going to redesign it with a servo saver but haven't got that far with my idea as of yet but hope to do it this year and it will be only fractionally bigger in size. Possibly sometime this year he may send me a set of wishbones to test as well to see if they can handle the abuse I give out when testing. ![]()

![]() Once my Zx-r restoration (I will post some picture later) is done I will start bulding my racer, so impreoved parts are really welcome ![]() My plan is to start with a 6.5 motor, gear diff (only for easy maintenance) and stick lipo battery (more comfortable to share with my touring cars). Obviously I need to find a way for holding the battery in place, I will see at the moment. I'm also thinking to use the original Zx-r slipper with some improvments, if it works I will let you know. I'm start thinking we need a "LazerClub" like website to share and rearrange all Lazer information lost around the web ![]() Bye Ema P.S. I've been looking for stickers for my ZX-R but no one seems to want to help. So I've decided to reproduce my own. The print shop I'm working with are real pro's and are sharpenning the images as best they can. I'll have the first ones by the end of the week. If anyone is interested in them or any other vintage decals PM me and I'll see if I can have them done.

Firstly stickers. Thats easy and best place to go is the tamiyaclub.com as there is a sticker copy specialist who does a lot of tamiya and kyosho stickers from vintage models. Also he is a top bloke who will point you in the right direction if he cant help you.
Secondly a lazer club online. Mmm i thought you already new and found the best of the best online information mods and best improvements for a zx / zxr in the world. That being the below link. http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...&pp=25&page=52 I know its one of the biggest threads but the great stuff happens from page 8 onwards. It a lot of stuff so read and sink in the info from page one to the last page before you invest in any upgrade as there are a lot of different people who know their stuff all putting their knowledge into one pot and then all that going into the design of the upgrade (which i may add is stiill in development on the diffs) of the ZXR-S. Named rightly so by HKP who is one big collector , racer and model reviewer so knows his stuff.

Well, before starting buying all original spares in order to build an original Zx-r (you can see my thread here ...) I was thinking that 550 USD were really to much. Now, if I have to consider the cost of all parts and the shipping cost for all of them I think it's a good deal ...... obviously only if your Lazer will sit on a nice shelf. This one was an used car and was sold "with buy it now" at 200 euro: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=120507914901 Unfotunately I cannot find the link of a new original in box bumper OT-93 sold for about 80 euro on the bay .... The 99% of the Internet user that will open that thread will read only the last (or first) 3 or 4 pages. Plus we can add a trade room where Lazer Fans (both collectors or runners) can buy or sell what they need (also improved parts Dyno parts, etc. ect.) And obviously there will be some pages about the Welshy special projects ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ok, but the wording on the below link is spot on until he says its not as good as the zx5 which if i still had it would beat them convincingly which i may add was far quicker than predators, shaft drive cars and proved how stable it was when i challenged for the lead in the regional a final. Still my preparation was not done properly as the rear shock ball joint came off and ended up 6th which was annoying. Still hope the pics do the very first zxr-s justice and will find the starting pages (21 has a lot of info on but you can go back to page one and read through and see where it all began) for you on the radio control zone thread.

![]() ![]() ![]() By the way, do you know if Kamtech is making the original body that came with the kit. I remember reading in one of your posts something about a aftermarket body replica for it, or I could be wrong ![]() On the brighter side, I did find the CAT SX and liked what I saw and bought it. I don't know much about Schumachers fit and finish, but if their still around, I figure it can't be all that bad. Maybe you can tell me what the best brushless motor esc combo is these days. I've heard someone say TEKIN, but I was partial to LRP. |

![]() ![]() If you don't have the manual you can get the right PDF version here: http://www.retromodelisme.com/liste_manuel.html Well, the OT-93is extremely rare, because will fit also the optima and there are a lot of optima collectors around the word. You can try to convince isobarik, but be careful, he may ask a tank of your blood for that part ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bye Ema |
