Default xx4 steering

I ran my xx4 properly this week but noticed there wasnt much steering, comparing to a b44 the lock is nothing like, can the Ackermann be set different? also is there a role bar set available for it?

Thanks!

Do you mean the can didnt steer alot or do you mean there isnt much lock on the steering when looking at it on the bench???

Whats track are you running on and what setup?

The inside wheel will turn more than the outside one. What setup are you running?

I am running 25 wt oil all round, yellow rear springs, oange front(all I have)
shock positions front: upper 1 from outside, lower outside
rear: upper 1 from inside, lower inside

ride height just below level wishbones all round

dirt hawg tyres(control tyre) which have loads of grip in the carpet!

The steering linkage has 2 positions inside the car which is set on the outer holes!

Sounds like you have the front shocks mounted in the wrong place, run them inside wishbone and the 2nd hole on the tower out from the inside of the tower, so one in frorm where you have it now. Rear sound fine.

You are running the steering link on the outer holes which should give you the most steering.

Other things
What pistons are you running?
Where are you running your batteries, front or rear on the motor side of the car?
What wheel base are you running and what size rear wing?

Cheers

if after changing the front shocks you still do not have enough steering, try a smaller rear wing and move your batterys forwards. If after that you still need more i would change your front pistons to orange and raise your front camber link up on the hub as that will gove more steering

Well the steering was loads better last time out but it kept lifting the inside rear wheel in a corner, Can you get a role bar for the xx4?
