Default Lazer zxr law-12 parts etc...

Christmas was great here in the States...Washington State to be exact. Only could have been better if the LAW-12 slipper parts and uni's ETC.. had shown up from Henrik!! They will show up soon though I hope! Let me please know if things have changed Henrik. And may everyone have a very healthy & Happy New Year.

Probably no deal at all .
I did a little search about the teambluegroove quality, and from what I can read here it's better to wait the Kamtec ones ....

Well the quality from Kamtec is better than the original, and you get twice the length of use with his shells. I am still using my ZXS shell and its over two years old and still looks new. Keith is currently a one man band so takes time to get onto doing his molds but has confirmed he will get the Parma Tomcat shells for the ZXR done by hopefully March and the ZXR will hopefully be done not long after that. He just has not had time due to having to prioritise his workload with the biggest orders first. Still you now have an alternative until Keith does his shell. Price is maybe a couple of pounds more and does not come with an undertray unlike Kamtec who do supply them. Still good find Ema

If any of you guys are doing the Petit then you will find me there. Hope to see you soon.

Got lucky and picked up a Lazer on Ebay. Kinda hoping that it's a Mark II chassis, otherwise I'll *need* to find a Mark II chassis set somewhere....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

It should be here tomorrow or Thursday at the latest, I'll post some clear pics when it arrives.

If the chassis is not right, you can find any version of the lazer at http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/ , not kyosho original but really well made and cool .

Or buy the Kyosho one (LA-60) on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=290383205025 .

Bye
Ema
P.S. Just started working on my lazer !

Exclamation

Im guessing by the pics it looks like a mk one but looks more like the zx-sport ( nothing at all like a zx-s which is a different car alogether).

If your up for a restoration the fibrelyte is the place to go as they make the best carbon fibre so a worthy investment. If you are up for something just a little bit special that improves the performance then my designed chassis, top deck and shock towers and servo plate. Then you can use the zx-s shell, parma tomcat or any zx or zxr shell as they all fit. I have a link for the bloke who bought my car but was wrong with what he wrote relating to the performance and he saw it go and was chasing for the lead in the regional a before my ball joint fell off. Its more stable and more agressive if required.

Default I was thinking if i rolled my car............

In sweden it would be turned in to an swedish meatball

in japan it wouldnt come that far since it would suddenly stop due to fugo poisining

in scottland i would pick up the pieces and stuff my sheep stomach...

in england i would probably hit the frier and wrap the pieces in an old news paper.

in usa it would be probably be run over by a big car and tossed on the barbeque

happy new year

Well, I finally have the new-to-me Lazer in hand. There are a few pleasant surprises.

Tekin 411-G2: not sure if it works but I'd be willing to bet it does.

Aluminum ball bearing steering bellcranks: just cool, never seen this one before. Anyone know who made this?

Aluminum rear dogbones and front universals: I have never seen aluminum dogbones or universals for a Lazer before. Anyone have any info of these? They're in pretty good shape but I don't think I'll be using them. If I ever build a shelfer, they'll probably find a home there.

I'll get the rest of the pics up tomorrow night.

Good luck with the rebuild, I'm also in the process of rebuilding my zxr mkii. I also still have a 411-g2 speed control from tekin, its very smooth just don't run it without the heat sink, it has a way of getting real hot.

Dogbones come as standard on most models on the rear and Ujs come as standard on the front. Lazer ZX5 ones fit and look nicer but they are a specific part number and possibly Isobarik has the part numbers somewhere, as I have lost that information when my laptop died.

The alloy pivot block holders are a must as without them the car will break. These are the only items on the car that do need replacing as the plastic items didnt do the job properly.

Spares are easily obtained and a friend of mine makes the plastic bits such as gearboxes and layshaft gears and soon diff gears (I havent tested the diff gears yet) as well as bodyshells too from Kamtec
