Nick,

The Large one from Nosram/LRP as Niggs says is about the most popualr but all the standard heatsinks from the likes of 3 Racing and Integy all fit well

We continue sporadic work on something to bolt onto those two holes in the motor plate. Ellis has developed a part that we are investigating now.

Possible late January.

Talking Fan

Hi just recived my lrp fan same as the lrp pic posted on here but the motor pinion wont get near the spur to mesh up as the gearbox stops the motor slideing because the heatsink gets in the way, how do you guys get them to fit ? Alex

a. Take the fan off completely and slide the heatsink around till it fits

b. Take the fan off and slide the heatsink around and screw a 30mm fan onto the veins

Depends how much cooling is needed

We sent a preliminary design off to the shop to see if Ellis' design will be practical from a cost standpoint. It's a beautiful combination of heat sink and fan mount. The fan is perfectly mounted to blow right on the motor.

Last week they gave us a preliminary price that looks doable, so we asked Ellis to do C.A.D. for manufacturing. Christmas and all, Big E sent the C.A.D. the other day. Paul took a look, said "OK," and sent it on to the shop for a comprehensive quote.

If this works, you'll get a dialed heatsink anodized in Ellis' blue and the fan with all mounting hardware in one package. And, of course, it will fit and work perfectly.

Still a long way to go, and, as you can see from the front page, we have been busy...
