Default 1/10th Electric Off Road Racing in Feb/March

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody can possibly assist in letting me know if/where/when there are any meetings going on big (preferrably or small) as I will be over from abroad and would like to watch/race etc...

Or point me in the right direction as to where I can possibly find out.. Feel free to PM or reply

Cheers in advance!!!!

What part of the country will you be in? Or does it not matter?
Most clubs are running a winter series, ie 1 round per month for most.

(as far as racing goes im not sure but i dont think i can race in anything too major as i dont have a BRCA licence yeah?)

you will need to get a brca licence before u can race anywhere really. If your lookin for something in a couple months then you should be sorted because you can get next years licence from december.its only £13 quid through a club or i fink its £15 privately. one of the cheaper things in this hobby and defo a must!!

My local club is Eden Park, www.edenparkraceway.com we race the first Sunday of every month, there is Stotfold www.stotfoldmcc.co.uk you can find there schedule on their website, both of these clubs get a good number of drivers and an excellent quality of drivers. Both of these are outdoors, indoor a good club is Worksop http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=49
look in this thread, warm and dry racing with a large numbers of racers.
I am sure you will be welcom to any of these meetings, and you can race on the day, but a BRCA liscense is best, you can get it at
www.brca.org

Where are you coming from and how long ya gonna be here???

There are 3 big indoor meetings, but they all are before you get here.

Maybe it's worth having a word with PW Dave about the 'able to race 3 times before buying a BRCA license' thingy. I'll let you do it

I'm no expert on the BRCA,but depends on how mutch racing you want to do, you can race a club meeting as a guest at least once at a brca club before you need to join.I think EPR has some fair sized club meets

Edit...Norty posted as I was typing, he is on the same lines as me, but knows more

Thanks so much guys! you have all given me heaps of options and Dave you're right, 15 quid is no problem if it means some amazing racing. Coming from Australia, going to be there for a month and a half, pretty much specifically to race and travel etc (and see family I suppose)...

Would be great to attend (just to watch as I know you cant just rock up and enter these can you?) a National and see some of the really good guys running but Ill have to do some research to make sense of what is on where and when

Thanks again!

You can pretty much just show up and race, as long as the event isnt full.
decide on where you want to race and then enter to confirm a space.
I can help secure you a space when you decide where you want to race.
It will be cool to have more international drivers visiting!!!

Cheers Dave your a legend!

As far as deciding where? any big meeting, anywhere is no prb and club meetings, well i have a month and a half to do what i want so distance isnt really the biggest prob, used to travelling a long way for racing in Aus and i get to see more of the countryside of the UK so all good!
