Default Longfield Sixdays Races with video

Last weekends racing was fantastic! The AMC Langenfeld near Cologne in Germany held the second race of it's winter series which is quickly becoming one of the most popular indoor offroad race series in Germany attracting drivers from all over Germany and as far as Belgium and even Greece for the next one (Manolis might be coming ).

The track is carpet with a new layout for every race always incorporating several jumps, tables, berm sections and generally challenging track layout.

Last weekend saw epic battles between Elvo and Jörn Neumann with Jörn coming out tops, Elvo in second and Thomas M. driving very well to finish 3rd from 6th on the grid. Atomic Carbons CR2 looked spectacular in the hands of V-Rossi and Supervlieg too. XFactory X6's looked planted as well being the most represented car in the final. One of them looked suspiciously flat (sadly didn't think to take any pictures...)

As a big hint to anyone wanting to make the trip you can sleep in the hall or just practise all night which cuts down on the hotel costs and we would be more than happy to welcome drivers from further away. Breakfast on sunday and warm food is available trackside along with coffee and cake.

Entries for the next race might end up being limited so anyone planning on making the trip should get in touch early to get things organised.

Videos of the 2wd modified A Finals ( yes I know my camera is shit...)

Your camera isn't any worse than Youtube's 'HD' quality, dude. Great vids.

Next time we'll bring the Dutch along. Maybe then we'll be able to push all the Germans out of the A

It would be great to have Chunderboy Mesker and a couple of Wouters along Maybe you can get Wijnen out of his "winter retirement"

The car looked really good! Did you have to run it on superheavy springs because of the angles?

Yeah dude! It's 2wd on carpet. It'll backflip if you hammer the throttle halfway down the straight depending on the motor and wether you're feeling frisky with the throttle

Some of your comrades have already put in their names down so you should be set.

I see Bart is coming with full family support to dominate 4wd after the last races events! Does he have a nick on here?

Don't know if I will be doing some racing, I kinda liked the driving on saturday, easygoing and taking pics on sunday.
The calm atmosphere has gone a bit, sooooooooooo many drivers now . It still is a very cool weekend, but it is more stressfull than previous years.

I really like the "big race" feel and I like having the longer breaks between heats, gives you more chance to catch up with people you haven't seen in a while
Plus it gives you the oportunity to go up against more people, which usually means the finals are more closely matched and more entertaining.

Plus it's good for the club, as the work is pretty much the same if we have 30 or 100 people come

I don't like the feel of yellow wheels on bumps and jump landings. Sure they feel a bit faster round the fast parts of the track, but in the end, it's consistency that counts. I'm sticking with white dish rims.

i love it!! now where's those pictures?? I find the yellow loads smoother over the small bumps like those plastic dots, on take off and landing. Maybe not so good on the table top jumps
