The belt drive system looks quite Losi-esque to me...

Still got the mudflaps though - coolest thing attached to any RC car.






Wish they'd done some nice officially lisenced bodies though.

Yes

95% of brushed motors are timed in one direction, so they need to be installed so they rotate in the right direction (they have negative timing advance otherwise, and run piss-poorly). Thus, nearly every belt drive car ever designed has the motor on the left side of the chassis (so it rotates towards the back of the car).

That dictates the motor position, so to take normal sized battery packs, they have to be mounted on the opposite side. Have the servo on the other side of the SC18.....and theres no-where for the battery pack to go.

Simples.

If its the same as the RC18 series, the SC18FT will be a kit with some juicy upgrades (and no electrics), but the SC18 will just be RTR. Having said that though, theres no SC10FT kit yet.
