Default Changing Cars

How ofter do you lot change your cars?

I started with a B4 back in May and now run a Losi XX and Cat SX. Don't anticipate changing for a while.

Out of necessity - when parts start to wear out or break randomly, and it is uneconomic to repair.

Out of desire - far more often than that!

I think I have only had two cars "wear out" on me, being my old HPI Pro 3 and Yokomo SD tourers. Taken about two years of weekly racing in both cases. Every other car I have had has lasted longer than I have been interested in it!

I don't change the 2wd although I did try the Kyosho RB5 for a while. It's the 4wd's that I have a weakness for!! Over the last few years I have had 'several' Lazers, two D4's, a Pred and two B44's. I have also had an RC18 for a bit of fun and a couple of T4's.
Now that might sound alot but I bet there are a few people on here that will make that list look like nothing!

I've been racing for 5 years this time round.
I ran a B3 for 6-7 months, then a B4 for a year.
Moved to 4WD with an original xx4 for another 18 months and from then till now I got a secondhand zx5 which has been converted to SP. Due to breakage and upgrades I don't think there is an original part on the car, but it is still the "same" car...

I ran a borrowed MR4BC for last year's indoor season. Gave it back before I broke it more and the hunt for parts was getting tedious. Got a B44 and I doubt I'll be changing it anytime soon.

I change mine if I think my driving is as good as it can get and only a new car can improve my lap times further. It never does

I've had very few cars longer than 8-12 months, I get very bored, very quickly. I've had cars from every on road electric class apart from Pro10 and bikes, and from 2wd, 4wd and SCT in off-road.

When the B4 stops winning!

I've changed my cars frequently too, some haven't even hit the track before I've changed my fickle mind!
4wd 2wd
DF03 Cobra
B44 B4
XXX4 X6
DB01 XXXCR (may become a CR2)
XX4
DB01 (keeping it this time)

And I've only been back racing around 2 years or so.

Tamiya Grasshopper ( back in the days )
RC10B1

And 18 years later

RC10B4
X6 (non squared)

XXX-CR (awaiting the CR2 bodyshell to come out to convert it )

and since yesterday
RC12R5
(since the weather is shit over here , I thought since I have to go indoor
might as well buy a "real" indoor car )
