Default Got my new Mad Rat today

Hi i got my new Mad Rat today and hopefully will have it running tommorow but i was wondering what parts you think o should upgrade the shocks look crappy so do they need upgrading. I have just the bushings in at the moment but intend to put a bearing kit in.

Any Other Suggestions?

Thanks

if your kit has the new t plate in it then you won't need an upgraded one.

B4 shocks fit well. Bearings are a must.

Are you racing it, or just bashing? are you using lipos?

I'm just going to be bashing it unless i get a chance to race it though ive never raced buggys before only touring cars. I will be running lipos with a 19t brushed motor but once i get my new esc i will be running a 5700kv castle creations motor.

Thanks for all your help

if you are running lipo then put around 150-200g of lead weight in the car, ideally around the front end to help with front grip and stop wheelies

Fastrax do an alloy shock set , they do various lengths for a different variety of cars, fast166 £7.99 and fast168 £8.50 are the ones that would fit a Mad Rat, use your original springs as the ones that come with the shocks are a bit on the long side to work properly, I have a couple of customers that use these shocks and they find they work as well as any others on the market.
