Default Midweek racing

Am i right in saying that apart from Longbenton, there is nowhere to race tenth scale off road in the whole of the North East of England midweek. That is mental!!

Maybe, but I think most clubs run weekend, not just the ones in the north east, york, bury, batley, teeside all on a weekend.

It is, but the racing is the best imo in the country. The surface is excellent to race on and the organisation is second to none. Its a trek to get there but well worth it. I normally stay at a local Travel lodge. They are cheap as chips at the moment unless the rooms have sold out. Try it, you might like it!!

Do Worksop not run midweek? If that is where you prefer to race it might be best enquiring with them on what they put on midweek.

Unfortunately we can't replicate the hall/surface or bring their team who run things up here, we have what we have building wise through a lot of hard work and for now it's a case of like it or lump it I think. We tried to get weekday nights but it was impossible. Unsure what you mean by organisation.....but anyway I think JORCR members who get involved with running things try their best.

Until JORCR came out of Oxclose & was promoted by the new committee, hardly anyone raced there on a Tuesday either.

Yeh, it's about 2 hours for me and shifta, but well worth it, you really should go Tim even if it's just for one meeting to try it

My post wasnt supposed to be a dig at any of the JORCR lot. I was telling somebody how good it is and why its worth travelling.

Get back on topic, I would love to race mid week. I would race every day if i could. Long as it doesn't interfere with a fri or sat night, am in.

So chris, when are we going to start our own midweek club then? We could race 8pm - 12 and put disco lights and music on. Have ten minute heats and big massive jumps bigger than the ones in peters dreams...

Wednesday night will probs be best. It'll be class.

It appears that saying pretty much anything offends these days

Wasn't offended or accusing you of having a dig at anyone, just an observation when you were commenting why it was worth racing on a Sunday if it was Worksop.

If any venues I contacted get in touch to say they have a room available midweek I will let you know the details another club in the north east would be great
