Default Cat SX basics! - Help a TV presenter!

Hi Nick from RC Racing here!

As you may know I'm "Having a go" at 10th offroad next weekend at the "King of the Dirt" race

Schumacher have very kindly leant me a Phil Booth edition Cat SX

So I need a bit of basic help

Firstly what are the supplied gears? how many teeth on the Spur and the gears in the "reduction box" - for want of a better term!!

Also a good starting ratio for a 7.5 (Nosram)

Oh and any other hints / tips would be great!

Thanks

Nick

Nice to see you on oOple Nick!!!
Grants setup is very good and I am sure on the day loads of people in the Cat Sx family can be on the end of a mobile for on the spot advice

It will be great to see some 1/10 on your show, shame I won't be there as it clashes with my home tracks winter series, EPR.

But great choice of car!!!

It's good to see you coming home to your roots!!!
MORC is way before my time in the UK, but perhaps we can talk Ian at Maritime into holding more off road meetings, apart from the petit race, that you should enter Damon!!!!

Niggs, I should have gone for Baby blue !

but for TV purposes it's white! (with a Purple wing) - interestingly the day glo colours don't work as well on TV as they do in "real life

Nick

I still have some race/set-up notes in one of my old books from those days - I loved that place

I wonder what the Darwells are upto now.

I couldn't believe it when I got there for the BRCA national in 1990 to find they had tarmacced over the track and then put some shail over the top of it, it just didn't work for me

I remember the Medway National

I remember the speedway like shale surface as being the only track I've ever raced on that got considerably faster in the wet - but that your buggy came off looking more like an 1:8 car than a 1:10 one.

I also remember a very young Mark Tatman making the A final if I recall correctly??
