it will not pull wheelies on a track i got rb5 gearbox and spur gear slipper pads it will not stop wheelies at all my does the same my weight with a lipo battery 1550 grams and off the start if you hit full power it will do the same in any 2 wd buggy my slipper is set half a turn back from fully tightened but i use all rb5 parts on my rat and put weight all over the car not just at the front battery tray put weight and some at the rear end of the car like at the back of the gearbox at the back of the shock tower . turn the punch and the timing down and it mite help . BUT IT WILL NOT WHEELIE ON A TRACK AT ALL MY DOES WHEN MESSING AT HOME WITH IT IT DOES BUT NOT AT A TRACK GET ITS WEIGHT UP NTO ABOUT 1550 AND WILL STOP IT BETTER HEAVY THAN LESS WEIGHTS

If it's still pulling a wheely with the Slipper backed right off, the slipper obviously isn't working right so i'd look at the B4 one - DCM said that it's pretty easy to fit a B4 slipper on there so i'd get that done and try again....

it was trying to wheelie at all throttle range's and it was on a astro track and it was even doing it on grass but will try a b4 slipper and see what happens.
mine wheighs in at 1500g with a 5000mah core lipo, do you think i need some more weight?

Hi,

What motor are you running and yes I'd say more weight required. My XXCR is heaving than that with Tekin RS Pro, LRP 7.5 and a Trakpower 3600 LIPO.

Also what happened to your XX? They rock at our track given the right set-up.

PM DCM about the B4 slipper etc. as they are good. Shaun's mate I thought ran a Madrat too (haven't seen him for a while) and I don't remember his having the problem?

That's going to add more weight to the rear, he's got a problem with the front lifting, so the last thing you want is more weight at the rear.

Ginge, Shaun had another chap who came down with a Madrat, haven't seen him for a while.

What FDR do you have on the Madrat?

If you set your diff and slipper up correctly you dont need to add weight. Mine only weighs that much cos of all the mods ive done with the t and titanium bits. plus its a pro so the shocks and other bits are alloy as standard.

firstly, don't listen to a single word Stampede has said, he is simply a basher and can't built a car right to save his life.

The kit spring on the madrat is fairly strong so even when backed off completely it still puts a lot of pressure on the slipper. One trick is to lock the slipper up fully and leave it for a few days when you aren't using the car. When you take the car back out, back the slipper off and you will find that the spring has compressed slightly, giving you more adjustment range.
No need to change the slipper, the madrat one will work ok if set correctly.

As for weight, my Rat weighed in at around 1700g with a lipo. I have arounf 200g at the front end, under steering rack, on servo etc. I also have a bit more weight in the chassis side pods, and the steel t plate adds extra weight too.

If you are running at 1500g with a lipo and brushless then you will probably wheelie on high grip.

What motor/gearing are you running? you may be able to go up a tooth or two to take away some punch. Also reduce your speedo punch setting to a lower one if it has one?
