Just installed my 7,5T Alien Power motor, doesn't touch the battery bar as it's a few millimeters shorter than the other brands

I ran my car tonight indoors at oz and really enjoyed it it was awsome understeered a touch in round 3 and the final but i think that was tyres more than anything. Best bit was able to Absolutly NAIL it on the wooden floor and it would just go in a straight line.

Steven and I tested the car for the first time today at a club race. As I didn't have time to practice, the first round was the maiden run. We qualified 1st and 3th, and ended up 2nd and 3rd!
Car was just fantastic, has the sharpness of the S2 and is extremely stabile and forgiving.

I let some others have a go, think I sold 2-3 CR2's today

Set-up: basic CR2 set-up with the following modifications:
- Front Schumacher Stagger Rib Yellow
- Front 0,5mm limiters, blue spring during first heats, later green spring
- Rear Schumacher Mini Pin Yellow - outer row cut off

Ran my CR2 for the first time yesterday at stotfold and WOW was i impressed!!

I tqed every round of qualifying! Finished 2nd after letting a certain Mr Ellis Stafford beat me

The car is a great step forwards and i have a few ideas to make it better but a few of the tweaks i ran yesterday i have listed below for people to try
  • X6 Body - It does fit and helps with rear end grip
  • Jconcepts 7inch large v wing mounted high
  • Hydra drive - Helps over the bumps and acceleration made the car alot smoother
  • Rear Roll bar - helped the car steer
  • Front Roll bar - helps keep the front end up as i run shocks inside on the tower and inside on the wishbone with a black spring
  • MIP rear drive shafs - Helped the car steer
  • 1 deg rear cr hubs - Helped the car pivot and also imprived rear end traction
  • Weight - I only ran the Brass front bulkhead and a further 25 grams in the front.
I have some Rude bits goodies on the way so once fitted i will report back as i am sure with some extra weight towards the rear i can make the Cr2 even better......

Which MIP set do you mean?

MIP08131 - This one?

Where do you guys find the Hydra drive sets?

The extra idler mod is great, tested it this weekend, was a bit noisy for 10 minutes but then all fine!

Pictures attached

Body post's for X6 shell mount on the top of the gear box

Rear Roll Bar xxx one mounted you just need to car the ends of the bars down slightly so it does not get in the way of the camber links

Rear Roll bar pic 2

I have redrilled the motor plate to fit an idle gear below the spur/pinion, i have also drilled a new lower motor mount hole. This means i can now change the pinion/idle to mesh with the spur and also change the spur gear as the idle can move to mesh with the spur. I am now not fixed to one pinion now

Nice idea with the roll bar dude. I think i may have to steal that . What did you think of the reverse gear? Ive got mine installed but not run it yet

Last question. Why the hydra drive? The tracks not that bad!

the 4th gear is better for sure, the car has more rear end grip under acceleration out of turns.

The hydra drive has helped chill the car, i am finding that as you can set it looser than a slipper it is easier to keep the front wheels on the ground but still have good acceleration

Si awsome mods.

Have you got any dimensions for where you have drilled the hole for the idler gear??? From another of the screw holes.

Might have to knock myself up a roll bar. What awg wire are you using???

Pulling wheelies could be solved by using smaller rotors, tested the 12mm ones this weekend, you can hit the throttle sooner, and even with an almost fully tightened slipper I couldn't pull any wheelies because of the smooth power band.
