Wayne, I think you will DEFO get in the 2,4 and 6's, people down to 13th etc so I also think you'll get in the 10 one too to be honest. Lets hope they mark all croner apex's at nationals eh so you can't accidentally keep stealing a yard and bump into me eh

hehe!! I marshalled next to that corner and looked at the line I took and there was no cutting of the track, I just took a tighter line so it was perfectly valid hehe!!

However I must say I was quite aggressive in the corner and do apologise for my coming together with you, I take full responsibility!!

Well Jordan's an F4, we race at our regional's, this year we entered 3 Nationals and are on reserve in the higher 20's !

I do not feel that we do not deserve to get in because we are not good enough, hell, we pay our fees, spend loads of money on cars and tires and bits and are "well involved" at our level. We are part of this sport and enjoy it.

What about one less heat or only two leg A finals to allow more racers ?

there's already at least 130 racers and at some venues that's too many due to pitting space.
its a national series so cutting corners just isnt on and at the end of the day its for the top drivers in the uk so the f1/f2/f3's will get priority thats the whole point of the license grade just because you spend loads of money and are well involved doesnt and shouldnt count for anything really!
plus as you only entered 3 events out of 6 you will go to the bottom of the pile of f4's wishing to enter, plus to say ''I do not feel that we do not deserve to get in because we are not good enough'' is wrong, all the f1/2/3's that got in are better that's why they got a higher license grade thats why they got in, thats why we do a regional series to make things fare!

Yes, I am begining to see that we should have entered all 6, then dropped a few, I am sure this is why we will eventually get to race at some of the venues we have entered.

thats a bit off really entering all 6 knowing you have no intention of doing them and stopping someone who wants to do all the events from getting in...nice

I don't think he meant it like that... I presume that those who enter all 6 just to secure themselves with a place at the few they DO want to attend, will cancel early on so that other racers can make their way up the reserve list?

i think all the reservists out there need to bear in mind that many people sent off there entries a couple of months ago, holidays had not been booked, the wedding day for your sister/brother etc wasn't planned and a lot applied for all knowing that they would not do some, you also have the racers who gained f2 or f3 at regionals who have never raced at national level and having done one find that they don't like it or are out of there depth, so don't despair you will probably get in

I got in for all, both classes.

Bring it on! Its this time of year I can't wait for the first national, heck I am already planning, have my tyres and hotels booked weeks ago!

The way the BRCA allot the entries is very fair, there is no favouritism, and the only presidenting factor being the 'F' grade which is what we aim for, isn't it? If it isn't, then don't complain, spend a season working at it and try again for 2008.

I hate threads like this. The BRCA committee work hard, and no matter what they can't please all, although they try to, and to read this thread must be very dis-heartening.

I don't think this thread was intended as a dig at the BRCA Chris, I think some people who haven't got into the events they hoped to may feel a little disheartened and unfortunately that may come out as negative feelings towards the BRCA. I realise it is very difficult to cater for absolutely everyone who wants to race, but hopefully as each race draws closer some of those racers who thought they had no hope of getting in, will get that phone call from Jackie

Chris only says that because he knows full well he'd have a tantrum worse than anyone if he for some reason didn't get into the nationals!

Whoops….we love the BRCA, we can see they work hard – and mostly on a voluntary basis, any comments I have made that may seem to be knocking the management I will apologise for, we are well down the list on reserves, 31 I think at Oswestry, and there may be others below us, that’s 160+ entries……… Think you are doing well Ash.

Last year i was a F5 and tried to enter for 4 nationals, i was in the teens on the reserve list for all of them, but i had the call from Jackie the week before for Batley and Telford so got to race at two of them.

I did the Mid West regionals last year and gained my F3 licence, i have entered for all 6 4wd meetings, and had the letter this morning saying i was in for all of them.

So if you do your regionals and get your F3 you stand a lot better chance of getting in.

There is only one way I could get assured of a place at Nationals, and that's to leave my camera at home and forget about race reports altogether
