Default Newbi question - B4

Evening. Trying to build a car with my son and found out during the build that we should have ordered a motor pinion with the car - dugh.

Looked on a couple of webshops and couldn't see a huge choice of pinion gears from Associated - can we use other brands and get the meshing correct?

Any pointers appreciated - he's pushing me to get it built with him so he can attend a club event next week for the first time.

Just thought of another one - I'd assumed the motor shafts are/were all a standard diameter? We've bought a Speed Passion brushless motor/esc combo.

Thanks

pretty much any 48dp pinion will be ok,make sure you get the right size pinion for the motor

Just thinking you may want to get a couple/three - say 18, 20 & 22 tooth and as bigred said almost any 48dp, would think your brushless combo instructions will suggest number of teeth to give final gearing.
