Since I do know how to solder but never had a good soldering iron only the
cheap crappy ones I was considering have this brought to me from the States. http://demonpowerproducts.co.uk/prod...oducts_id=4061 From temperature and Watt it looks ok for me , comes with replacement tips and looks nice and compact. Anybody can recommend it or have any thoughts on it ? Thanks, Erik |

IMO at that price it is really expensive if you just want it for general rc soldering.
Ive got a wellar 80watt iron and its perfect for most rc jobs and i have a small 12v iron for any detailled soldering i need to do. Both came to 30 pound not 160 quid. http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Main/s...t-240-volt.asp A

to buy the Weller ones.
I would pay this one 130 Pound since it's bought in the US and brought as hand luggage ![]() I'm going to have a look for the Weller ones since I've seen those mentioned a lot. Thanks Ashley for the advice. |

I use this 25W Antex for general soldering of motors etc
