What would you like to see? The chassis shot was posted a couple pages back.

Here's the X-60SC (minus its rear bumper) next to a regular X-60:

I was very tempted to make the sc10 into mid motor, but knew Wezzer would have a go at me if I did. so I converted the T3 instead.

This thing of lengthening molded chassies to make something different is not for amateurs. Paul's spectacular crash at the ROAR Nats involved an home-made lengthened chassis splitting apart where it had been joined. Nothing else on the car was broken. Days of hard work down the tubes in an instant.

There are soo many things that must be done perfectly, so many things that must fit snugly and perfectly to make a really good strong one. We would love to sell multiple chassies to everyone and have everyone cutting and gluing, but we've seen the results when it's not perfect. I didn't say, "done right" or "done well." I said "perfect." Plus, you have to make the bumper mount, and it's a complicated part. You must have the right CF for reinforcement and cut it correctly on the bias. Just any piece you'ce got lying around will not do. Please don't try this at home.

SpeedyDad and X Factory are trying to come up with a way for Dad to make X - 60 SC chassies for us to sell. Note I said, "trying to come up with a way" -- this thing is far from done. Paul's chassis at the Nats was NOT made by SpeedyDad, and everybody saw what happened to it. No chassis made by SpeedyDad has ever broken in the spot where it was put together.

We will CNC machine bumper mounts, and we'll put the thing together in two different Kits. 1) Convert your existing X - 60 to SC. 2) Convert your T4 to X - 60 SC. Both will be expensive because of all the one-at-a-time hand work. #1 will probably be around $200, and #2 could be as high as $400. In both cases, you will supply the body.

As these things go, they will be good. You get what you pay for.

Hmmm, interesting

Would'nt it make sense to do a SC10 to X-60SC?

If only there were 60 hour days and money grew on trees hey Chazz

Just because these aren't big in the UK doesn't mean they are toys. They have a relatively large and fast growing following here in the US. While we do sell a lot of stuff in the UK doesn't mean it is our only market.

No-one ever said they were small here either, but EVERYWHERE (US and UK) that races them, it is a new and relatively low key class/smaller class, far lower than other areas we "should" be concentrating our efforts on. As a company, we (X-Factory) are small and the more time that is devoted to "distracting" us from bigger things at hand the slower future projects will become and take to become reality......fact. I think we should stay focused on things in hand rather than mess around with other less important projects and ideas.

The fact that the UK market is one of the biggest for X-Factory (behind Japan) should say it all really......

Anything that can help expand the XFactory family is a good thing. The more racers we bring in, especially in smaller markets, the bigger the family gets. They buy one thing, like it, and they'll buy more. That can be nothing but good for the company.

But lets not argue this in a public forum. That can't be good for the company.

Nothing wrong with a little spirited banter amongs friendsAll avenues of r/c should be explored or we would still be running rc10's with resistor speed controls

Don't know if the SC10 was ever designed to compete against the likes of the T4 or X60 in an open truck class as my opinion is it just won't be as quick. So I see both sides and until there is a serious Short Coarse Class then it's not really priority BUT there is no national truck class so was the X60 needed? Then that conversion is far easier due to the dimessions being same as B4 except for few bits and bobs. Lets see a RED HOT 4wd first to blow the Durango out of the water, then think about SCX

Think it's fair to say we'd love to see a SCX but I'm still having great fun with my SC10 until that day arrives. If that day arrives

The Durga????? Seriously?

The cool thing about this whole SCT thing is that since I'm the one that built and is working on producing this thing, the rest of the team is left to work on the new other stuff. Its a win/win scenario.

I would just use the stock X60 chasis with no modding. I am interested in how he got the reabumper from the SC10 on there!
