I heard it might be the first or second week in March but I don't think anything official has been said yet.

This email was sent to all drivers that booked into the cancelled meeting

Dear All,

THE KIDDERMINSTER EVENT Feb 11th (TOMORROW) HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

I have just returned from the Kidderminster track (11:30 Sat.).
The complete track and pitting area is covered in 2/3 inches of snow.
in addition, under the snow, there is up to 1 inch of water in areas on the straight, the 'dirt' section and other parts.
The temperature here and the overcast weather gives little hope that the snow will thaw before tomorrow.

I doubt if many Speedo's would survive more than 20 minutes.
There is also safety to consider. It would be somewhat hazardous for Marshals.

So, on the grounds of sensibility, the event tomorrow is cancelled.

We intend to reschedule the event in March. Possibly the second Sunday, March 11th.
This will be confirmed by mail.

This mail will be sent to all drivers that have entered, but knowing that some do not open mails often, if you know anybody that is intending to come to Kidderminster tomorrow, please contact them with this news.
Especially:-
John Langley, James Overton and David Hough for which we do not have contact details.

Best regards,

Paul Worsley.

Ashley,
If you want to race outside and you can get someone to take you, Coventry car club is running a round of the "midland astroturf masters series" this sunday.
The clubs website is:

We had one tyre shread on the m54 just past telford doing just under the ton and as that tyre was ruined we decided to buy two new rear tyres as dad likes to get new tyres together also they had lasted a while they had about another couple of thousand in them but he didnt mind he preffers to have 2 new than just buy odd tyres.

It still amazes me when people try to buy tyres cheaper off the internet.

And if you manage to find them cheaper online, you then have to find a fitting bay that will fit them for you, as there are allsorts of liability issues for the fitting bay if there is a problem with your tyres as they weren't purchased through them.

If you do find someone that will fit them for you they will probably charge you a small fortune to do so.

So the reality of the situation is you will end up paying more.

Random rant there Brian.

£6 for fitting and balancing per wheel, don't call that a small fortune...
