I take it the MRT will cover any turn motor or at least 8 turn upwards? I think Allan sourced an LPR but was reasonably expensive, I'd rather get a good set-up and race for a bit before spending loads of money on gear that doesn't fit my needs. Let me know about the MRT !

I allways found a 12x3 went well in the xx4, 84/21 gearing or 82/21.
I normally use corally motors, but i found Dinball! V2 all the way £28.06 delivered! |

MRT speedo's pretty good but i found the older ones dealt with heat better in the summer.
The spashett motors have a slot cut in the arm which reduces the rotating mass so they tend to be more revvy Not racing the rc18 at the minute allan as i keep destroying diffs... Gone back to playing with the cyclone again |

yes, the MRT is unlimited. i use 10t normally and have run a 9t on occation. (it is the older model that Wayne mentions, slightly bigger than the new one, but more reliable)
the MRT has slightly lower resistance than the LRP, and also nice little plugs for the wires which can make it easy to swap around between cars etc, or to swap motors with out a soldering iron.

Hi Jim, certainly sounds like the esc would do the trick in the xx4, just let me know when you know if you want to sell it and we can go from there. Thanks for your help / advice.
Hi Wayne, I'll talk to Allan re the motors and will be in touch soon. Again thanks for your help / advice. |
