It's good to see another option out there though, anything that encourages people to switch to 1/10th off road in this current climate is a good thing

2wd Electric seems to be one of the cheapest forms of racing to start-up in now, for the first time in a long while i think that will have a big influence on what many T/C racers decide to do as costs keep going up!

£131.99? I know that is for the Pro version but that's quite a way adrift of £49.99 (which I'd assumed was for the non-Pro)innit.

The actual RRP is £139.99. The info I remember posting a week or two back was for the Madrat which is what I quoted on the phone to Ansmann and got priced up. The X Pro with that price seems like it could be a different car, and the Madrat is yet to be released?

The Madrat kit will be shipping early next week. This is the more basic version of the x-pro and retails at just £49.99.

Ok, so given the spec for the Madrat, what is on the Pro X to make it cost nearly 3x as much? Gold battery strap? Diamond Turnbuckles?

Joking aside, I guess its got dogbones not UJ's on the MadRat, non-turnbuckle links and plastic shocks, but I still struggle to see why the Pro X costs so much relative to the Madrat.

That will be the Duratrax then.....

I think, as long as everything is good on the car, the price is good to, unproven or not. We seem to embrace lots of chassis in 4wd, lets embrace it in 2wd too!!

Either way - this is about the Ansmann buggies so lets create another thread for this CML one and not distract from the efforts that the Ansmann UK guys have gone to get this buggy over here and hopefully expand interest in this class of racing (I for one am pretty bored with the lack of 2WD cars around)

just finished diff ,gearbox and shocks.the shocks are really sweet,go together well albeit no indiation of oil viscosity or spring rate.ae springs dont fit but kyosho springs do,so set up should be relatively easy[ish].screw quality is excellent,no binding of suspension arms.was hoping to run it at southport this sunday but forgot i have an 18th to go to friday night,however anyone wanting to check it out please feel free to come over on sunday at southport.and give us your thoughts.any comments will be relayed back to ansmann uk.many thanks jez.

for £50 i think it looks great. Far better than a Tamiya Hornet etc. A youngster could actually race it at a club and it would probably handle half decent, and even includes a slipper. You wouldn't really need to upgrade much on it to improve apart from maybe shocks some time down the line.

If the £99 rtr is based on that kit then i can see it being very popular in these hard times.
