Default outdoor racing

Hi all, just after a bit of info for the upcoming outdoor season.

Me and a couple of mates have just started racing with a few weeks at York and are keen to give some outdoor races a go when the season kicks off. Not sure what the crack is though. We're in Bradford and it looks like Batley is the only close track. How often do they meet and what days? How about Bury, thats close enough, do they run regular races? Where do all the York racers go in the outdoor season?

Finally, whats the main equipment changes needed for outdoor? Tyres, springs? As ever, any advice appreciated. (we'll be runnin 2wd).

Cheers muckas

Don't know about Batley but Bury runs virtually every week unless there is a regional locally.

Most York racers go to Batley and Bury like you mentioned. You running a B4? Only changes I made were to tyres (from pins to spikes) and shock oil change (from 40wt to 35wt front and 35wt to 30wt rear) Track depending it might benefit from anti-squat as well.
We do struggle a bit for decent outdoor venues in the north east with these 2 being the only ones that are close(ish). I've heard that Southport is a superb track, but have never been (planning to do the "easter-egg" meeting later this year)
