Ive had my B44 a week or so and the only thing im not to happy with is the braking speed/response with it.
If I throttle forward so that the car is going at jogging pace.... I was thinking that even at a slight speed when I applied the brake I could get it to more or less instantly stop. However from a jogging pace it goes into a walking pace for a good second or two and then finally stops. Anything I can do to improve the braking? Im running a Losi Xcelorin Sensored motor/esc 6.5t combo (model LOSB9552). Through the losi usb-software Ive selected 80% brakes (no option for 100%). suggestions? - or is everything how it should be? thanks |

Check the brake settings on your transmitter aswell as speedo.
Is the motor bonded or sintered ? i think sintered brake better. Also are you using a front diff or one-way. again front diff will brake better. |

i would say that its your speedo more than anything there mate. my b44 and now s44 can stop from full pace with a 5.5 in a matter of a couple of meters. sounds like your speedo is not set up correctly. i had this trouble with a mates car that sounds identical to yours. check you have the end points set into your speedo correctly. and also that the speedo is totally up to date.
the fact that it might or might not have a one way in the car isnt a factor in this because at that speed it would still stop the car instantly. its just the ballance of the car that it would effect. if you are still havin the troubles let me know cos i will find out the settings that i set my mates to that made that work |

ok think i found the problem...
went back to the Losi software - and started messing on with the 'brake' tab. Basically its a graph of the 'break curve' it was a linear curve (straight line) from 0 going to 100. Ive tweaked that line so its 100 constantly. Updated the settings to the speed controller - and seems better. Well at least at 11:44pm - I could only really try it in the hall-way of the house ![]() BUT its give or take instant now. ![]() I'll see how it works at the club track this week. ![]() |

Mike is reffering to Brian Preddy. He's a horrizon team driver and knows his stuff with losi brushless systems. User name Tyreman on here. As for the braking curve from what i understand of it if you just put your braking curve to 100% like that you have. You have no brakes or full brakes and nothing in between. So i would recomend turning your braking curve back down again. What transmitter have you got??? If you can turn your braking hi-point up this will give you more braking power. Other things to check slipper set correctly diffs not loose.
