Default Hacker E40 Brushless Motors

Anybody use or know about these?

How do they compare with the more popular brands, LRP, Novak, etc

I had a 6.5 Hacker in my B44, It is great motor. Good price too. The can and endbell look exactly like a Novak if you compare the two. Highly recommended!

It's not on the 10.5 list - maybe the modified?

Nope, checked that as well... (and the 13.5 just to be certain...)

I believe it's ROAR legal - perhaps that's the point of confusion.

Thanks for the info guys. Looked on the website, if it's good enough for Josh Cyrul, it's good enough for me

Shame about the BRCA thing, I'll run it at club meetings...

If it's ROAR approved, I would have thought it would be OK to be submitted for BRCA/EFRA approval.

Surely it would pay for itself in extra sales

I'm not sure if there's a major UK distributor for Hacker - it's usually they that submit products to BRCA, is it not?

I believe there's nothing to stop you submitting it to them yourself!

I've seen those - they must be buying them directly from Hacker in Germany. Without a distributor like CML or Mirage (RIP!) with a vested interest in promoting that product in the UK market, there's no-one willing to go through the hassle of BRCA submission.

Edit: Thanks for the update - I did not realise TrakPower/Flightpower were a distributor in their own right.

Ah, not so Colmo,
Trakpower/Flighttech bring in the Hacker motors.
We have asked numerous times if they will get them homologated but no joy

That's why Mark's post intrigued me, but he has yet to reply...
Edit: Arse - what were the chances of that - 3 days and nothing and the very same minute

Mark, that is quite a different statement to the one you made originally about the legality of these motors...

Ran my Hacker E-40 6.5 for for the first time competitively yesterday.

Wow

It was ballistic - as quick as anything on the track (including a right numpty running a 4.5L & 35C Lipos) & super smooth too.

Only thing letting them down is the BRCA approval thing...
