Default Some new backgrounds

http://www.oople.com/rc/media/

I added a couple of new "backgrounds" to decorate your PC - if the desire takes you.

These are both 501X review photos - other cars to follow.

Cool Image...

I tweaked the contrast and saturation, to my eyes this was a bit low but I now have a great desktop.

Cheers Jimmy!

I'm a computer artist - we are famous for our lack of contrast!
It's probably more down to monitor calibration also since I have both my monitors set with max contrast and brightness

That would be me lol, I aint no painter and it takes me many hours to paint a shell to a decent standard

btw, I upped the saturation of the purple background on that one, not the entire image - just the background since this was the bit that was slightly 'dusty' looking. Looks a bit better now.

Hi Jimmy, that looks great now!

On my version the car looked over saturated, I think you got the balance just right.

What do you calibrate your monitors with?

My monitors at work or at least this primary one is calibrated with some fancy gubbins - my ones at home are just by eye lol. Since I paint a bit I do run all my monitors at max saturation and contrast just so I can see stuff.

IMHO calibration is the single most important thing you can do to ensure your images look the best whether they are Photographic or Artistic in nature.

I would be happy to lend you my X-Rite Probe and calibration software. Just PM me if interested.
