It was time for Tamiya to enter the 1/8 Competition Buggy scene

See that receiver box, why is it sooooooooo huge when the rx pack isn't even in it, but strapped in down the side of the servos? . What's that all about?

In the Tamiya blurb it says you can either use a standard 5 cell hump pack in the receiver box or use a 5 cell stick pack next to the servos for weight balance tuning!

Personally I love it, nothing ground breaking but does what it says on the tin, as all TRF's do.

It also came 3rd at the Neo09, good show as it was the only one there !!!

But a couple of shops here in the UK are advertising the 801X between £625 to £650 and is due to release on the 11 May 09.

So it's a bit out of my price range.
