Default B-Max option parts

Does any one know if the B max option parts are in the UK for sale yet?? I was trying to find the link with all the photos of the new parts that have been mentioned on here??

Have many people used them yet in anger?? What parts are worth going for first? I imagine the hinge pin holders?? then maybe the steering post support??

Have you got the new bits and done any testing Yardee??

Hi Mark,

No I am yet to run with any of the new parts. I know that CML are waiting on a big order from Yokomo which they are expecting in around about a week from now which will contain the new items.

In Japan, the main parts being used are the steering post pieces as you mention, most of the new parts are for aesthetics more than anythin I think but one of the most interesting pieces to run will be the new rear brace that will give 3 deg rear toe in, a little less than standard, this may be a big performance aid.

Option parts are still yet to make it to the UK... but latest I have heard is that a Yokomo delivery is due in the start of next week. Not sure about Sweden though!

The standard car with the ch'ship pack added is perfectly fine though, as stated before most of the new parts are just anodised pieces... in Japan the only options they are running with are the aluminium steering pieces BM200L and BM202R as shown on the linked list:

http://www.teamyokomo.com/ click on japanese site, go to the news update box, scroll down to the entry made on 2/27 with the words "BMAX4" in and there is a complete list of part numbers for the new ali pieces. (tried linking straight to it, and it didn't work so just follow this route instead)

Won't be long now hopefully.

I've heard nothing about front drive options no, I don't think its in the plans just yet... in Japan they are quite big fans of using permanent 4wd it seems.

As for whether another car's diff will fit, I think it is unlikely, the diffs in the BMAX4 are so large that I doubt anything other than a specially made diff will be compatible...

the diff bearings in the bmax are 18x12 and the diff gear is larger than the equivalent associated type ones used in the b44/bj4 which use 15x10 bearings, having seen toms car as well as the others running at stotfold over the winter i can't see a one way being required.

A hotbodies D4 front layshaft fits quite well, abit of modification is needed on the shaft to allow the drive gear to fit, but it works!
