I have become slower over recent years as the amount of time that I have had to race has dropped off due to the pressures of life. I also have no good clubs in easy striking distance of me who run mid week so the chances of getting any practice there is zero.

I used to be able to drive a lot more smoothly than I do now and it's all down to lack of stick time ......... I'm looking at VRC as a practice tool but not too sure it will help as images on the screen aren't too much like you'd see from a rostrum. Not sure how much it would help (plus I don't think my PC would cope too well with it graphically).

For me it's all about stick time, practice, set-up days, testing, practice ................

With this alone, you'll be half way to doing better. It'll just be down to your thumbs!

I've found this true of a lot of the younger members of clubs i've been too you see somebody really struggling so you help them out by having a go on their car and it's just totally undrivable but they didnt know any different as they had never driven a properly setup car. I normally give them a few laps in my car then have a go at fixing up their car to get it going better.
