Default Do Trackpower Li-po's fit in a ZX-5 sp

Hi folks, as above really!! looking at going Li-po and was looking at trackpower 3200's or 3600's just wondering if they would fit in my sp because of the way the leads plug into the battery...
The inner edge of the battery looks very close to the top-deck, will the Corally connectors fit in the battey and clear the top-deck ok???

Cheers..
Paul..

I think they fit, they have the same (or less) dimension of the orion 4800 lipo, the only things you have to do is to solder the corally connetor at 90° degree and connect the battery before placing into the car.

Look at this picture:

I've put my trakpower 3600's in a zx5-sp and they fit fine natively. The battery would probably need plugged in before being slid into place as the top deck is close to the connector but it does fit.

I've got trakpower 4900 stick in mine. I have to connect one of the terminals before fitting it under the top deck, other than that it fits fine. I also used a dremmal to trim off the lugs that help position the sub C cells, and trimmed the end lugs on the battery strap but didn't need to do either - it just fits slightly better this way. Can post pics if needed

Have been asked for these pics, so here they are!
pic 2 shows where the battery strap has been trimmed from what was the top and is now the bottom.
pic 3 is where the chassis has had bits removed. (not needed but makes a slightly better fit)

I thought the idea behind the latest LiPo rules for dimensions was to insure that they would fit anywhere than proper cells fit!

So long as you buy ones to the BRCA spec you'll be fine, if you buy ones not to the BRCA spec expect to be turned away from meetings anyway.
