As having done my fair share of track building at Lowfields, we like to put a fair amount of slippy floor down. This stuff isn't too bad to drive on really and I think it will 'grip up' nicely. Lowfields doesn't seem to have the same problems with temperature changes effecting the track like I've heard batley does so it should be constistant enough.

I think we need a good track which is challenging, but flowing to get some good close racing. Multi-Surface, good jumps with some passing places.

I know Graham/Vermin & the rest will build a track to be proud of.

Haha, I just want it fairly flat and high grip because that's what I race on every week, and being a noob to off road I still can't get the hang of these bump things.

I don't mind the bumps/jumps as long as the track flows well. Something like at Teesside last weekend with the 2 jumps in a row would be great.

Regardless, I don't mind what's laid out as long as there's a track to race on!

I dont mind the jumps. A good layout would be similair to the one at batley indoor but with more carpet e.g. after the straight and in the tight 360 corner.

Edit - 360 deg corner?

A Good Off-Road will be fine...
A nice technical section with jumps and slippy

G I trust your judgement, you always make a good track.

Having just completed my 2nd ever race meeting I no longer consider myself a newbie and in fact think I'm ready to design a championship course. I have a few ideas involving a loop the loop, some cheese spread and a small donkey. (I was going to use a sheep but thought it best to remove temptation ). I look forward to receiving your call....

Seriously, I cant imagine there will be much room to spectate and as I cant see the regionals being the best place for new starters like us, it might be best if we avoid York this weekend. Is there any other racing going on this weekend?

Cheers all.

I dont think you should be put off mate. I did my first regional after only 5months of racing and I was about 10places off bottom. Indoors is different as I haven't done aswell. people say only try when your experienced but you have to start somewhere and something like york is experience and helps youg et better. Plus, you are in the bottom heat so will be in similair driving abilities race.

The regionals are for new starters like you as much as it is for everyone else with an RC car. Its a great place to come and chat to the fast guys, make new friends, watch, enjoy and take part.

There will be plenty of room to spectate, don't be shy of getting yourself somewhere good to watch so long as it isn't in the middle of the track or blocking the drivers view.
