Default How to find 54° 35' North, 1° 15' West

54° 35' North, 1° 15' West, 12.2 Metres above sea level

I know the area where it is but need and exact point on a map

should fall in this area if you can find it

I've asked the owner to pin point it for me on a map but I think he may be expecting to lose it, but he's not, I'm just curious

any help appreciated

54 deg 35 min is 54.583333333333336 in decimal.

1 deg 15 min is 1.25 in decimal

You are missing seconds, which is vital for accuracy......

what I am trying to do is locate the red x, just above the B in this pic

it's a local weather station close to were I live. We use it from work to see what winds like when cycling to and from work

I have used : http://www.getlatlon.com/

when finding points on maps for gps, I believe there is an addon for google that will do it, but get latlong is simple, position the curser, read off the bottom of the page, make sure you dont confuse which is which, minus numbers are possibly west of greenwich , some gps's need an E or W before the number and not the minus, you will have to play. hope this helps.

I did some plotting in France (poi's) and realy confused my self with the minus business, parts of the south west are west of greenwich
