Hi Peeps,
I took my FTB4 to a local BMX track this weekend and had a couple of heavy landings. When I got home I cleaned the car up but noticed the backend of the car was covered in oil and my right rear shock was pretty much empty. After taking it apart I found that the square clip inside had popped out. Does this mean that I didn't build it right in the first place or can this just sometimes happen with bad landings? After a rebuild it does seem to work fine, I'll have to test it out. Also I noticed that I've cracked the Top Plate across the left hand screw hole. Can I leave this or should I replace it straight away? See below ![]() Oh and I've ripped uprights of the rear wing.....This sport is gonna cost me a fortune if I don't get better lol Cheers Jase |

The shock may be ok after the rebuild, if it happens again, I would recommend replacing the clip with a new one.
It depends what you use the car for as to whether the top plate will be ok or not, obviously also depends on how bad the crack is |

Okey dokey. I've ordered a new top plate just in case. Not sure if its going to be a bugger to replace or not.

I would be tempted to put a washer under the screw untill you have to change the top plate, not a difficult job. Expect to damage bits now and again, usually shock towers and wishbones, but on the whole the B4 is pretty good.

That sounds like a plan, I'll put the washer in first and when I get more time I will swap out the part.
