Get a picture up and maybe we can give you some tips on how to improve it.

Hmm hard to see where all the wires are going to. But for a start you could shorten your battery leads.
This is probably a better example than ash's because its got a brushless speedo in which has more wires, http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/2008n.../OOP_5971.html

bit of a problem there ben.
the speedo is for my touring car, so i am unable to shorten the battery / motor wires

Hi luke...
Instead of curling your wires round a pencil, try folding them, and then sliding a piece of heatshrink over them, thats what i do and it does look tidier IMO. If you want me to take a few pics, let me know Tom

Ideally the heat shrink wants to be about 3 or 4 times the thickness of the wires so that you can fold the wires about 3 times and then slide the heat shrink over

You can laso use a small zip tie instead of a shrink.

The pics havent come up very clearly, ive used black heatshrink and its in my pred so you cant really make it out... I suppose thats a bonus though
![]() Its as ben said, use some heatshrink. about 3 or 4 time larger than the wires, then fold the wires backwards and fowards along themselves and slide the heatshink over... Ill try some more pics tomorrow when its lighter Tom
