Blimey how many posts could there be about that one limiter!!!

And so you all know it is just to stop the driveshafts hitting the end of the diff cups. Although if you don't run the BK2 axles it is different anyway.

Talking shocks,,,,,

I am thinking of changing our B4, but losi shocks seem like hens teeth, I know I can run the associated shocks, is there an "equilivent" setup that I can follow.

Also would like to use Lipo's, if/when approved, seen threads talking of dremmeling away bits of strutting to fit them in, any chance of a modified chassis to suit a lipo stick/saddle pack, with more room for a brushless esc & fan in the middle? or am I being stupid.

You could put losi pistons in the AE shocks, they are the same size but provide less pack due to the shape and extra hole.

But the AE springs and the losi ones are not identical, but you can get somewhere near.

There are also a couple of base set-ups included with the X6 kit for both Losi and AE shocks.

I have been looking into this this week and the nearest to Losi setup using associated stuff, this is going off Ellises Os setup. Size 2 pistons back and front they are the same hole size as Losi red pistons Blue springs up front and grey(ae) springs to the rear. The ae pistons have less holes than the Losi ones but I dont think that the differance is that noticable. I am going to purchase some Losi pistons for tje AE shock until I can get hold of some Losi ones.

Thanks for the quick reply's guys, is is worth drilling an extra hole in the associated pistons ! this all now looks do-able untill some losi shocks come along.

I used ae shocks when i first got the X6, it was still very good but it felt better with losi reds all round 30wt rear and 35wt front. I also ran silver springs all round.

I would advise getting the losi shocks though as you can then copy what we all run and we can speak from experience rather than theory if you catch my drift.

You can drill an extra hole but the shape of the piston is also slightly different, the AE ones have a squared edge there the losi ones are rounded, the AE will provide more pack so will feel different going over bumps and landing of jumps.
