Nope, the Trakpower 4800 saddle is 2cells.

Each Lipo cell is 3.2v. Its only the high volt cells that go over 2 cells. 7.4v is always 2 cell.

they should fit the cars without modifacation,
if some manufacturers can do it then why cant the rest,
corally being one there are more coming,

my LRP 7.4v cells have 4 individual cells in them, 2 sets in parallel and those 2 sets in series 2s2p = 7.4v

I think Rich is right with this, it does seems to read as 2 individual cells, which does rule out many packs. Maybe the proposal should be modified to read (If it can be modified ):

“Cars will be driven by a maximum of six rechargeable Nimh cells or two rechargeable Lithium Polymer cells in series, in stick or saddle pack configuration..."

There are already several packs that fit without issue in the same space as 6x NiMh cells, which is unlike the '07 Spec NiMh cells as they were too large for cell slots in most cars

Wasn't it this time last year when it looked as tho we would all be running Orion cells as they were the only ones within the '08 Specs, yet we ended up having more to choose from than previous years.

Maybe the manufacturers need rules to build products to, so once the rules are set we'll see more products

Amendments can be tabled on the day, so that shoudln't be an issue.

I think all rules voted in from that point are effective 1st April.

Tom appreciate the rule reads 2009 1st jan 2009 but i think the reason why the end of season finals has always been run to the years before list is any new rules/additions to motor & battery lists do not go live until April and the end of season finals always take place in March.

I know this is mad but i think you would need another rule to suggest any rules changes are effective from 1st jan, as currently i think there are only two time periods where the lists are updated, April and one later in the year but i could be wrong

Move the end of season finals to the first weekend in April

I'm sure the BRCA will manage to implement the rule correctly. I for one would like to see lipo allowed at the indoor finals as it will be all I have.

This is of course assuming that Lipo will be passed, although judging by other threads on here there are not many against Lipo, and a lot for it, but then again not every is on Oople (just the majority )

2. The maximum retail price for the year starting 1st.Jan. 2008 is £80.00.

There also on a rolling homologation list (as per. motors).

Cases protect from impact, but not from cell problems causing fires. Hence the sacks as well for charging!

For IB's I'd use bullet proof glass!
