Question TRF 501X WCE Question

Hi guys,

I just test drove my 501X for the first time, and I must say it is a hell of a car ...

But I was wondering what hop-ups / options are recommended on the WCE version...

Are the alu parts from 3racing worth upgrading to ? (wing mount, steering linkage, Aluminium Knuckle Arm)

I would also like to know who distributes or makes the blue screws. I looked at serveral pics of your cars and I really like the blue screws you guys use.

Is the Ball cups/connector combination LOSA6015 and HB-61581 and HB-61582 the right one for me to order ?

What other options do you guys recommend ?

Thanks alot.

Here is what I posted over at RCTech.Net:

501x WCE

I thought I would provide a list of parts that are commmon to mod/upgrade for this car for anyone considering buying it. The only thing on the list I would say that someone SHOULD buy are the RPM or equivalence ball end cups, kit ones suck.

Rear Differential Cover (get used to rebuilding the diff w/o it)
http://www.selectmodelsshop.com/

I went with Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 Turnbuckles from Lunsford
https://www.lunsfordracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc

4.8mm Hardened Ball Cups from Kyosho
Part No.UM112H

Tamiya Ball Differential Protective Seal
(for the both diff's, works great if you opt out of the full cover for the rear)
Part No.OP-970(53970)

Acer Ceramic Nitride Differential Bearing, 3mm
Part No.N004
http://www.acerracing.com/products/3...ls-773-65.html

The only response I got that contradicted my list is someone said the tungsten diff balls from Acer were a better choice because the diff plates bite into the softer material of tungsten. I have had no problem thus far with the ceramic though. Hope this helps!

Hi downtempo,

Thanks for the response...

Am now looking for a shop in Belgium that has all of the items you describe...

Yesterday I was at my club and lucky me, there was someone with the same car, so he gave me some more tips .

He suggested the double slipper would work better at our track then the front one way, so I guess I will be looking for that part instead.

Just my 3racing and blue screws question need to be answered...

Thanks again... much appriciated.
