Thats the f00ker!

Classic.

Anyone remember the kiddys tv programme with the hand puppet mouses, the big cow and the little ducks on the pond? Had some bloke in there too..summat like Dappledown Farm?

Amarzin'

Kids nowadays just dont have access to such classics. No knife crime in my youth, we were all to busy watching animals on TV

The Incredible Journey - 1963 Disney movie about a labrador, a bull terrier and a siamese cat stranded when their owner moves, making a 200 mile journey to find them. Frightening, joyful and tearful all in one. A true great!

Yeah man Lion King was a real heart string puller. BUT the sadness was diluted by the legends that are Timon and Pumba (I apologise if that wasn't their names, but I'm referring to the boar/warthog and the other thing lol).

Dumbo was really sad as well when his old dear gets taken away and a tear slides down her trunk and then she tries to reach out and hug him with it but she can't .... Again, sadness later offset by his ear inspired flight and the ammo it gave us all, to rip the piss out of our big eared friends.

I also thought Ice Age was sad when Mannie looks at those wall engravings and it reminds him of those poachers who killed his mum and dad. AGAIN sadness offset with the stupidity of syd the sloth.

To conclude this lecture, the saddest cartoony films often are offset with humour or happy endings which maintain kids' enchantment with such films. Best Disney film continues to be the jungle book... oh, whoop-e-doo, I wanna be like youuuuu, shap ee doobee do wap...

Oh yeah, and I know its not animated as such but who didn't cry when ET died and he was lying on the bed looking kind of like a white dog-turd (which come to think of it you don't see any more, hmmm).

Fritz the cat was very informative when an uncle of mine let me watch it thinking it was a kids cartoon and it ended up being a hip cat in 70's clothes f***ing everything in sight and doing LSD

One flew over the cuckoo's nest was heartwrenching when Jack Nicholson gets lobotomised at the end after having wanted to free the other inmates...
