Gentlemen,
Due to the summer heat, my local indoor hard-packed clay track becomes a little dusty and dry. With this track condition, my BJ4WE becomes very unpredictable to drive. In fact, it's like driving a drift car. It keeps on losing its rear end randomly. I have no problem controlling the car at the straight by going easy on the throttle but for small and mid turns, the car spins out like a drift car. Btw, I am currently using the popular "Tebo's" setup. Yes, I have tried a combination of different tires and found double dees worked best. I need help and tips on setup to drive on this track condition. Thanks! |

Have you tried loosening your slipper a tad? Also, does your ESC permit power control? This can usually help a bit too.
I'm sure others will chime in with more advice... Cheers! CODMAN |

Is the track quite bumpy aswell? My car was doing this at the Clash last year with the Tebo setup on at the bumpy 180 after the first double. Tightening the front diff to be pretty tight made a big difference

Nsdie,
theoreticly what happens to your car, assuming the loose rear is experienced after the apex of the turn, you car has transfered all the weight. Now, should the rear become loose, you might have 1 of 2 instances. 1. the rear has not transfered enough weight, thus loosing traction 2. your car has transfered too much weight and you start to loose tractionas you roll past the camber and max contact patch of the tire. it would help in advising if you could state if you have the problem on corner entry on or off power or bracking, or later during the corner mid or exit and once again on or off power?

Remember, this doesn't happen when the track is not dry. |

I think its down to diff adjustment, like Richard said. I would play with it (1/16ths of a turn) at a time.
