Default Tom Cockerill takes a double-win in the North East

Tom Cockerill, racing the XFactory X5 and X6 electric buggies took top honours recently in both classes at the North East BRCA regional event held in South Shields.

Tom took three of the qualifying rounds to take TQ in the 4WD event, with local hero David Snee making a return for this event lining up second on the grid. Tom took the win, with James Chappell second and Adam Skelding coming in third with his Hot Bodies D4.

In the 2WD class, Tom again took TQ but was tied for points with Adam Skelding - sadly the Hot Bodies designer wasn't yet using his new D2 creation. Tom took the win ahead of Adam, with Richard Lowe third.

A great double victory for Tom - watch out for him at the European Championships next month.

Read the great report HERE - Photos and report by our new North East reporters, Josh Gilbraith and Ben Jemison.

In case anyone else wants to get on this bandwagon, I'm only referring to the person formally known as Tom by the new name of 'Sheaphead'.
