Hey IceMike,
Yes, the bearing do loosen in it's carriers after some time of running and causes the spur to wobble. I didn't think the carriers on my B44 has gone that bad yet but I replaced them anyway after comparing how the bearing fit between the old and the new one. |

cjm_2008: I guess each car's mileage will vary as several factors can possibly affect wear on the bearing carriers.
If it's any indication, my B44 has had about 6 or 7 race days on it (work can get in the way of regularly racing ) and I think I could have gone a few more without any serious repercussion. My B44 was a bit dirty from the last race it had and as I tore it down so I could clean every nook and cranny, I noticed the very slightly wobbly spur. I happen to have a spare of those bearing carriers (I anticipated it can be a part that can wear out). I test fitted the bearing in the used carriers and then the new ones. Obviously, the bearing fitted tighter on the new carriers. So, in went the new ones. Personally, I'd make sure I have at least one spare set of the bearing carriers.
